Formatting & Shortcuts

Writefully So supports rich-text formatting through the toolbar and keyboard shortcuts.

Text Formatting

• Bold — Cmd/Ctrl + B
• Italic — Cmd/Ctrl + I
• Underline — Cmd/Ctrl + U
• Strikethrough — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + X
• Highlight — Select text and use the highlight button in the toolbar

Block Formatting

• Heading 1 — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 1
• Heading 2 — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 2
• Heading 3 — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 3
• Blockquote — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + B
• Bullet list — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 8
• Ordered list — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 7
• Horizontal rule — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + -

General Shortcuts

• Undo — Cmd/Ctrl + Z
• Redo — Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z
• Find — Cmd/Ctrl + F (opens the search panel)

Tips

• The editor is WYSIWYG — what you see is what you get. There’s no Markdown syntax visible.
• Formatting persists through export, so your DOCX files will retain bold, italic, headings, etc.
• Blockquotes render with a lavender left border for visual distinction.
