Chapters & Organization
Writefully So helps you keep your manuscript organized with chapters and folders.
Creating Chapters
Section titled “Creating Chapters”Click the + button in the Chapters section of the sidebar, or use the context menu. Each chapter has:
- Title — The chapter name shown in the sidebar
- Synopsis — A short summary for your reference
- Labels — Color-coded labels for categorization
- Content — The chapter’s text, edited in the rich-text editor

Organizing with Folders
Section titled “Organizing with Folders”You can create folders to group chapters together — useful for parts, acts, or sections of your novel.
- Drag and drop chapters between folders
- Nest folders within folders
- Reorder chapters by dragging them in the sidebar
Chapter Order
Section titled “Chapter Order”The order of chapters in the sidebar is the order of your manuscript. Drag chapters to rearrange them. This order is preserved when you export.
Synopses
Section titled “Synopses”Each chapter can have a synopsis — a brief description of what happens. This is useful for:
- Planning before you write
- Keeping track of plot threads
- Reviewing your story structure at a glance
Soft Delete
Section titled “Soft Delete”When you delete a chapter, it’s not permanently removed. Deleted items are marked and can be recovered if needed.
